Our Certified Athletic Trainers work hard to minimize the effects of on-field injuries and work closely with the coaching staffs to create an emergency response team through Sports Safety/CPR/AED training and emergency action plans.

Because our athletic trainers work in our practice and Saturday sports injury clinic*, we closely follow the athlete from the time of injury on the field to the initial doctor's appointment through the rehabilitation process and during return to competition.

The athletic training staff at MAO has 66 combined years' experience in high school, college and professional sports. It is the largest professional athletic training team in Wichita.

*Mid-America Orthopedics will host a Saturday morning sports injury/rehabilitation clinic at our East Wichita and West Wichita locations starting Sept. 10, 2011. Clinic hours are 8-10:30 a.m. You may contact our office Saturday morning for an appointment, but walk-ins are also accepted. We'll examine, evaluate and treat your injured athlete.
